All curriculum content is written specifically for each theme and includes a script for a two-scene play, script for a short skit, teacher introduction, creative play suggestions, and four standards-based lessons. The curriculum is included in the Walk-in Storybook package.
The curriculum is primarily designed for K-4 grade levels. Teachers can modify the accompanying play, skit and lesson plans to suit varying ages.
No. The standards-based lessons, along with a two-act play, skit, teacher guide, and creative play suggestions, are included with the curriculum package.
There are as many as 12-20 parts in the two act play and as few as 2-4 in the short skits. Students can double or triple up on roles or share roles in many cases to accommodate every size classroom.
No. The students can simply read the scripts and act out the roles. Or, for really young students, the teacher can read the play aloud and let the kids act out each part.
